Refund & Cancellation Policy

Cancellations, refunds, and the 48-hour rule.

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to House of Stewards subscriptions, regular meetups, one-off event tickets, special events, and related paid services unless otherwise stated in writing.

By purchasing a subscription, registering for an event, or buying a ticket, you agree to this policy. It works alongside our Terms & Conditions.

1. Subscriptions

Monthly, quarterly, or other subscription fees are generally non-refundable once the billing period has started.

Cancelling your subscription stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund, partial refund, extension, rollover, or compensation for the current billing period.

Unused benefits, missed events, unused introductions, non-attendance, or lack of usage do not entitle you to a refund or credit.

2. Regular Meetups Included in Subscription

Regular meetups may be included during an active subscription period.

If you register for a regular meetup but can no longer attend, you must cancel through the member page.

If cancellation is made more than 48 hours before the scheduled event start time, cancellation is free.

If cancellation is made within 48 hours before the scheduled event start time, the booking is considered a late cancellation and no refund, credit, extension, or alternative benefit will be provided.

If you do not attend and do not cancel more than 48 hours before the event start time, this will be treated as a no-show.

Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect your ability to register for future events.

3. One-Off Event Tickets and Special Event Tickets

For one-off event tickets and special event tickets, cancellation is free if completed more than 48 hours before the scheduled event start time.

If you cancel more than 48 hours before the event, you are eligible for a full refund to your original payment method, subject to the processing time of the relevant payment provider.

To cancel, you must use the cancellation function on the member page or any other official cancellation method provided by House of Stewards.

4. Strict No-Refund Policy Within 48 Hours

If you cancel within 48 hours before the scheduled event start time, your ticket is strictly non-refundable.

Within this 48-hour period, House of Stewards will not provide:

  • Refunds;
  • Partial refunds;
  • Credits;
  • Date changes;
  • Alternative event transfers;
  • Subscription extensions;
  • Compensation;
  • Reimbursement of expenses.

This applies regardless of the reason for cancellation, including but not limited to illness, travel issues, work commitments, personal emergencies, change of plans, scheduling conflicts, weather, transport delays, or inability to attend.

You may transfer your ticket to one friend in accordance with the ticket transfer rules in these Terms, but House of Stewards will not be responsible for managing communication with the transferred attendee.

5. No-Shows

If you do not attend an event and do not cancel more than 48 hours before the scheduled event start time, you will be treated as a no-show.

No-shows are not eligible for any refund, credit, date change, alternative event transfer, compensation, or subscription extension.

Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to register for future events.

6. Late Arrival

If you arrive late, your place may not be held, and the event may proceed without you.

Late arrival does not entitle you to a refund, credit, date change, compensation, or alternative arrangement.

7. Ticket Transfer to a Friend

If you cannot attend, you may transfer your ticket to one friend, unless the event details state otherwise.

You are responsible for forwarding all event details, reminders, instructions, venue information, and relevant updates to your friend.

House of Stewards is not responsible for separately communicating with the transferred attendee.

Only one person may attend per ticket. Tickets may not be split, duplicated, resold, or transferred to more than one person.

8. Event Cancelled by House of Stewards

If House of Stewards cancels a regular meetup, attendees will receive a full refund where applicable.

If House of Stewards cancels a one-off event or special event and does not provide a replacement date or reasonable alternative, attendees will receive a full refund.

Where a replacement date or reasonable alternative is provided, House of Stewards may offer attendees the option to attend the replacement event or request a refund, subject to the instructions and response timeframe stated in the cancellation notice.

Where a refund is offered, it will usually be made to the original payment method.

9. Event Rescheduled by House of Stewards

If House of Stewards reschedules an event, attendees may choose either:

  • To attend the rescheduled event; or
  • To request a full refund if they cannot attend the new date.

Attendees must confirm their preference within the timeframe stated in the rescheduling notice.

If no response is received within the stated timeframe, House of Stewards may treat the ticket as transferred to the rescheduled date.

10. Event Changes

Changes to venue, table arrangement, attendee mix, host, menu, drink, discount, format, timing within a reasonable range, or other event details do not automatically entitle you to a refund, credit, transfer, or compensation, provided the event substantially takes place.

11. Payment Method and Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method where possible.

Refund processing times depend on the payment provider, card issuer, bank, or payment method used.

House of Stewards is not responsible for delays caused by banks, card issuers, payment processors, or third-party platforms.

12. Payment Processing Fees

Where payment processors, ticketing platforms, banks, card issuers, or other third-party providers charge non-refundable fees, such fees may be deducted from any refund to the fullest extent permitted by law.

House of Stewards may, at its discretion, choose to absorb such fees in certain cases, but is not required to do so unless required by applicable law.

13. Promotional, Discounted, or Complimentary Tickets

Promotional, discounted, complimentary, gifted, or free tickets are non-refundable and have no cash value.

They may not be exchanged, resold, or redeemed for cash.

14. How to Cancel or Request a Refund

Where cancellation is available, you should cancel through your member page.

Please include:

  • Your full name;
  • Event name;
  • Event date;
  • Ticket confirmation or payment receipt;
  • Reason for cancellation, if applicable.

Requests made within 48 hours before the scheduled event start time will not be eligible for refund, credit, date change, or alternative event transfer.
